2022 Sheeran Mixed Tournament

Entry Fee: $200/18 Hole Division

Entries Open: 05/17/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 08/30/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Two person teams
  • Legally married amateur golfer couples who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 24.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)

 

Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: 

  • 18 holes of Modified Scotch format (commonly know as Modified Foursomes)
  • Both golfers hit their tee shot and select which drive they want to use. Then they play alternate shots into the hole. 
  • Gross and Net Divisions

 

Handicaps: 60% of lower handicap plus 40% of higher handicap for team handicap. Indexes computed on August 30, 2022.                

 

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees & Mass Golf Blue Tees

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: Shotgun start at 9:00 AM.

 

Awards: The Sheeran Mixed has a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners. Ties for overall gross will be honored. Other ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method.  Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Fall River Country Club.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

 

Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy. 

 

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

 

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
